New Book by Brian Hogan: Boy Centurions

  1. Boy Centurions: A Millennium of Young Lives

I finally finished my newest work, Boy Centurions. I have been writing the eleven stories for over three years and then had to find an artist to bring the boys and their times to life. When Helen Looman turned in paintings that surpassed my expectations I realized I had zero skills in page design for childrens' literature and had to find a designer. God sent Heath Locke.

I am so pleased with the results. I think you will be as well.

Boy Centurions is the stories of eleven boys living at 100 year removes from each other (but all branches on the same family tree!) Each turn of the century from the year 1000 AD to Y2K introduces a new lad and his world. Packed with historical fact that is delivered painlessly through well crafted stories of real lives, this book is a cornucopia of learning that kids won't even notice they are drinking in. After the stories and art are pages of maps, trees, glossaries, and background on the boys and the larger events of their times.
Here is a sample story - a two page spread in the colorful 11 x 8.5 book.

This book is the answer to your Christmas gift dilemma!
